A popular restaurant that is full every day! A stylish cafe (Saga City) that is worth the trip, just a little over an hour by car from Fukuoka City

This time, we will introduce you to a stylish cafe in Saga City.
"wood-style cafe" is a relaxing space surrounded by greenery run by a furniture store (Saga City, Saga Prefecture)
Wood-style cafe is located in Morotomi-cho, a furniture production area in Saga City, Saga Prefecture, adjacent to Okawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
It is about an hour and 15 minute drive from Fukuoka city along National Route 208. About a 5 minute drive away is the Chikugo River Lift Bridge.

The cafe is run by Iwai Furniture, which specializes in original and custom-made furniture, and is located on the same premises.

The grounds are filled with greenery, which is very relaxing.

Although the signs look like they are in English, they are actually written in Roman letters, which is interesting (laughs).

The interior of the store is decorated with tables and chairs made by Iwai Furniture that give off a warm wooden vibe, and everywhere you look it is stylish! The designs are varied, and they can serve as inspiration for your own interior design.
We also have chairs and baby beds for children! There's plenty of space between tables, so you can bring your stroller in.

There is also a homemade Othello game available in the waiting area, so you won't get bored while waiting.

The pizza baked in our handmade stone oven and other oven-baked dishes are a must-try!
At "wood-style cafe," stone-oven-baked pizza and oven-baked pasta and doria are extremely popular!
This time I went for lunch. *The menu below is as of May 2023.

There are five kinds of "Oven-baked Pasta & Doria". The photo below shows, from the left, "Seafood Mentaiko Cream" (1,600 yen) and "Rich Meat Sauce Chicken" (1,600 yen). You can choose between pasta or doria, so on this day I chose doria for both.

Both of them look small, but because the base of the bowl is deep, they are quite voluminous!
The "Seafood Mentaiko Cream" is overflowing with ingredients!

It's a perfect flavor as a traditional seafood doria, but the mountain of Spicy Fish Eggs on top makes it even more delicious! It also pairs perfectly with creamy cheese.
"Rich Meat Sauce Chicken" overflowing with plenty of sauce.

It was filled with fragrant chunks of chicken and the meat sauce had a sweet taste, which was highly praised by the kids.

The pizzas are a special treat, with the dough rolled out after an order is placed and each one baked in an oven.
On this day, I chose the dessert pizza "Strawberry Pizza with Condensed Milk Sauce" (1,500 yen). It was originally a limited time offer until December 2022, but due to its popularity it has become a regular item!

The strawberries in syrup have a refreshing, slightly sour taste. It's the perfect balance with the sweetness of the custard underneath the strawberries! Adding condensed milk makes it even milder.

Set meals are also available for lunch.
The photo shows the salad in the "Salad Set" (soft drink and salad, 400 yen).
The dish is centered around simple leafy vegetables, and the deliciousness of the homemade dressing stands out. They also sell it, so if you like it, you can buy it.

What's surprising is the drink that comes with the set.
Look at the "apple juice" on the left in the photo below. All soft drinks except for "iced coffee" and "iced tea" are served in mugs! The generous portions are great.
By the way, you can have as much hot coffee and tea as you want.

They have now launched a new summer-only menu item, "Lemon-scented cold seafood and tomato pasta" (1,500 yen)!

It's a popular restaurant that fills up quickly, so I recommend making a reservation. Everything on the menu looked so delicious that I wanted to try every single one. It was a cafe full of charm!
