Shockingly thick! "Thick egg sandwich" that takes just 5 minutes in the microwave
I came across this "thick egg sandwich" while casually browsing social media. It looks so delicious!
So, the ARNE editorial team tried making it again! We were able to make an approximately 3cm thick "extra thick egg sandwich" in a "super simple" way using a microwave.
How to make "thick egg sandwich" in just 5 minutes in the microwave!
[Ingredients] (1 serving)
2 slices of bread (I used 6 slices this time)
Eggs...4
Mayonnaise...1 tablespoon
Soy sauce...1 tablespoon
Japanese style soup stock・・・1 teaspoon
Water...60ml
<How to make>
(Preparation) Prepare a heat-resistant container that is the same size as the bread or slightly larger.
*We placed a slice of bread under the container to compare the taste.
It expands quite a bit, so we recommend getting one that is quite tall!
(1) Put the eggs and mayonnaise in a bowl and mix well.
(2) Add soy sauce, Japanese soup stock, and water and mix well again.
The key is to mix it well.
(3) Place (2) in a heat-resistant container and microwave at 600W for 2 minutes.
(There was a bit too much foam. LOL.)
When heated, it will puff up but will settle down quickly.
(4) Once the puffiness has subsided, microwave for another minute at 600W.
(5) Turn it over onto aluminum foil, wrap it, shape it, and leave it for 1 to 2 minutes.
It's quite hot, so be careful not to get burned.
(6) While the bread is wrapped in aluminum foil and shaped, cut off the crusts of the bread and spread mustard mayonnaise (not included in the recipe) on it.
You can leave the crusts on if you like. Also, I used mustard mayonnaise this time, but you can use ketchup mayonnaise or any other seasoning you like.
(7) Cut off the ends of the eggs.
The reason for cutting off the ends is to make the cross section look nicer, so if you're not going to take photos and just want to eat it yourself, you can skip this step!
However, if the egg is larger than the bread, I think it will be easier to eat if you cut it to the same size as the bread.
(8) Place the egg between the pieces of bread and cut into bite-sized pieces. It's done!
It's shockingly thick! When I measured it...
I was surprised that it turned out thicker than I expected! So I measured the thickness of the egg (lol).
the result……
It was a shocking thickness of about 3cm!
It makes sense considering it uses four eggs, but you can easily make a filling "thick egg sandwich" in the microwave. (Text by ARNE Editorial Department)
