[January 30th - February 23rd, 2026] "Taiwan Festival in Fukuoka 2026 - Chinese New Year Tainan Lantern Festival" will be held at the Fureai Hiroba on the west side of Fukuoka City Hall!
The "Taiwan Festival in Fukuoka 2026 - Chinese New Year Tainan Lantern Festival" will be held from Friday, January 30th, 2026 to Monday, February 23rd, 2026 (national holiday) at the Fukuoka City Hall West Fureai Hiroba in Tenjin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City.

First held in 2016, the Taiwan Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. With the theme of "Taiwan Night Markets in Japan 365 Days a Year," the event aims to be a bridge between Taiwan and Japan by experiencing Taiwan through night market cuisine from all over the country.
This year, we are collaborating with Tainan, the ancient capital of southern Taiwan, to fully enjoy the food, culture, and charm of Tainan.

At "Taiwan Festival in Fukuoka - Chinese New Year Tainan Lantern Festival," you can experience the colorful world of Taiwan's largest festival, the Chinese New Year, and the Tainan Lantern Festival in the heart of Fukuoka. It's sure to be a special experience, like traveling to Tainan while still in Japan!
In addition to the well-known Taiwanese delicacies such as "Da Ji Pai" and "Xiao Long Bao," the venue will also feature delicacies unique to Tainan, such as "Tainan Danzi Noodles" and "Tainan Danzi Dry Noodles." Local chefs will use their skills to recreate authentic Taiwanese delicacies, conveying the charm of Tainan's rich food culture.

At night, the venue is lit up with colorful and fantastical Tainan lanterns, creating a festive atmosphere for the Chinese New Year. It's also perfect for taking photos.
