BEAMS JAPAN, which continues to spread the goodness and excitement of Japan both domestically and internationally, from fashion to miscellaneous goods and art, is finally opening its first store in Kyushu!

What's more, the location is in the approach area to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine! It looks like it will be the most important stop-off spot when visiting Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.

Beams Japan Dazaifu will open on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in the approach area to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, one of Fukuoka's most famous tourist destinations. This will be Beams Japan's 10th store, following stores in Shinjuku, Shibuya, Kyoto, Izumo, Nikko, Miyajima, Kobe, Zenkoji, and Maizuru.

As a community-based store, it is unique in that everything from store creation to operation has been done in collaboration with Fukuoka businesses. The storefront will stock approximately 180 items, including store-exclusive collaborative products developed in collaboration with local businesses and famous products from all over Japan sourced by Beams Japan buyers.

MOONSTAR Rubber Daruma

MOONSTAR is a long-established shoe manufacturer based in Kurume City that is known for producing sneakers using a manufacturing method that is only possible in a very small number of factories in Japan.

"MOONSTAR Rubber Daruma" (3,520 yen each) is a uniquely Japanese lucky charm made from scraps of wood that are produced during this manufacturing process.

Okamoto Shoten's Kurume Kasuri items

Also noteworthy are the drawstring tote bags and pouches from Okamoto Shoten, a manufacturer and seller of products made from Kurume Kasuri fabric, which has a history of over 220 years. The large pouches are just the right size to fit a goshuincho (temple stamp book)!

Fukuoka Hanagoza Goods by IKEHIKO Corporation

IKEHIKO Corporation's miscellaneous goods are made using Fukuoka Hanagoza, a traditional craft of Fukuoka Prefecture. The cute design is inspired by plum blossoms, a symbol of Dazaifu.

Dazaifu wooden plaque from our workplace

The perfect souvenir is the "Our Workplace Dazaifu Wooden Tag" (1,320 yen each), a wooden tag made from Kyushu cypress and featuring the Beams Japan logo.

The design features the name Dazaifu on a plum blossom pattern. It was produced by "Our Workplace," a Type A employment support facility that manufactures housing materials.

Items with a logo featuring the key color "red plum," inspired by the plum blossoms that Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning, is said to have loved, are also available exclusively in the store.

Items include the "Logo Lunch Tote" (5,170 yen, bottom right of the photo), "Towel Handkerchief" (1,320 yen, bottom left), "Komonoire" (1,210 yen, to the left of the towel handkerchief), "Katakana Logo Sticker" and "Vertical Sticker" (605 yen each, photo left).
