[Fukuoka Event] Enjoy gourmet food and craft experiences at the market in nature (November 15th and 16th)

We will introduce events that you can enjoy in the rich natural surroundings.

[November 15th and 16th] A special time spent in nature! "Aburaya Market" (Kashiwara, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City)

The Aburayama Market will be held on Saturday, November 15th and Sunday, November 16th, 2025 at the ABURAYAMA FUKUOKA Bonfire Square in Kashiwara, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City!

The theme is "A market where you can experience abundance." You can enjoy a selection of gourmet foods and miscellaneous goods, as well as interacting with producers. There are also forest craft experiences and Japanese drum performances, allowing you to spend a special time surrounded by nature.

A market where you can enjoy everything from gourmet food to miscellaneous goods

Over the two days, over 20 stores will be set up, offering a wide variety of products, from vegetables and fruits to curry, gelato, and miscellaneous goods.

What makes it unique is that you can not only shop, but also take your time to communicate with the exhibitors.

Forest craft experience "Green Woodwork"

There are also daily workshops that are unique to Aburayama! You can try your hand at making things using natural materials.

"Help Make a Wreath Frame with Cranes" will be held from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM on November 15th. Participation is free, but if you wish to take home the completed wreath frame, it will cost 500 yen per piece.

Try rolling the vines into balls in your hands to help make the wreath frame.

The event being held on November 16th is "Making Cutlery and Colored Pencils with Knives and Sharpeners." It will be held four times at 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, and 15:00, and costs 1,000 yen. You can make one of the following: a spoon, fork, or colored pencil.

The work is done on a fixed workbench called a shaving horse, so even children can try it.

A powerful performance by the Fukuoka University Wadaiko Club!

There will also be a performance by Fukuoka University's Japanese drumming club, Kobusaru, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on November 15th. This talented group won the judges' special award in the general group group at the Taiko Festival 2023, the 15th Japan Championship.

They deliver a moving performance that combines the power and delicacy of Japanese drums.

Lei making using seasonal flowers

A "kupe'e (a wrist lei) making workshop" will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 on November 16th. The cost is 13,500 yen and includes a course meal from "sola aburayama," the restaurant of Michelin-starred chef Hiroki Yoshitake in Paris.

Enjoy the exceptional skills of our instructors, who will be coming from Hawaii, and the special atmosphere created by the rich nature of Mt. Aburayama.
*You will need a container to carry your finished lei home.
