A new electric tuk-tuk rental service has been launched, allowing you to have this extraordinary experience.
An open and extraordinary travel experience! Electric tuk-tuk rental "Kari Tuku"
Grand Bleu Activity Rental Car "Kari Tuku" offers a rental service for touring Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture and Nijo Town, Fukuoka Prefecture in an electric (EV) tuk-tuk.
It opened in August 2025 in front of Hamasaki Station on the JR Chikuhi Line in Karatsu City.
It is connected to the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line and can be reached in less than 1 hour and 30 minutes from Tenjin Station or Hakata Station.

Anyone with a regular driver's license can easily drive an electric tuk-tuk (passenger capacity: 3 people *People under 6 years old or under 100cm tall are not permitted to ride).
You can enjoy sightseeing on your own route without the stress of waiting for trains or buses. You can have an extraordinary travel experience while feeling the breeze and magnificent scenery of Karatsu!

The operation is similar to that of a moped, and you will receive a lesson on how to ride and operate the bike before you start renting.
The rates are 5,000 yen for 1 hour, 8,800 yen for 2 hours, and 11,000 yen for 3 hours.
Once you make a reservation online, you can go to the store on the day to check in and receive a lecture before you set off!
Three recommended routes based on themes
There are also three model courses available to choose from depending on your travel style.

1. Enjoy the charm of Karatsu's ocean! "Route Grand Bleu" course (approximately 18km one way / estimated rental time 2 hours)
The bypass "Route Grand Bleu" opened in 2023. It is a beautiful coastal driving route where you can enjoy the blue sea and sea breeze.
Along the "Route Grand Bleu," you'll visit Karatsu's famous spots, "Rainbow Pine Grove," "Karatsu Castle," and the scenic beach "Kitahama," and enjoy Karatsu cuisine at the popular cafes "ROUTE204" and "Kiyukian (pictured below)," as well as the local farm shop "Genkai Minaton Sato." This is a course that lets you fully enjoy the charms of the Karatsu sea.
2. Stretch your legs and head to Yobuko! The "Route Grand Bleu & Yobuko" course is also packed with gourmet food (approximately 24km one way / estimated rental time: 3 hours)
In addition to the Route Grand Bleu, this course allows you to enjoy the spectacular scenery and gourmet food of Karatsu, including the Nanatsugama Caves (pictured), a nationally designated natural monument, and Yobuko Morning Market, one of Japan's three largest morning markets.
3. Popular with women! Itoshima Cafe Tour "Route Coastline" Course (approximately 14km one way / estimated rental time 2 hours)
This is a recommended course that takes you around Aneko no Hama, known as the "singing sand beach," and Fukufuku no Sato, famous for its rapeseed flower fields, and visits to popular cafes in Itoshima.
"Tuk-Tuk Day" event held
October 9th, 10th and 19th will be "Tuk-Tuk Days", and the "Choinori Course" will be available only on these days!
You can easily try out a tuk-tuk for 1,090 yen for 30 minutes or 2,280 yen for 60 minutes.
