Day trip drive! Enjoy a hot spring and a luxurious lunch at a ryokan (Japanese inn) for just 2,500 yen on weekdays (Miyawaka City)
Hello. I'm Yuri and I love going out with my kids.
This time, we will introduce you to a day trip hot spring that is perfect for a day trip from Fukuoka, where you can enjoy a luxurious lunch and have a great bath.
A day trip to Wakita Onsen with hot springs and lunch! "Yumeguri no Yado Nansuikaku" (Miyawaka City) is a great place to visit
Located about 40 minutes by car from central Fukuoka and 15 minutes from Wakamiya IC on the Kyushu Expressway, Nansuikaku is a 70-year-old inn located in Wakita Onsen, which stretches along the Inunaki River.
There is free parking, so it is convenient to go by car.
This time I went on a day trip with my kids.

This inn has a wide range of hot spring facilities, including nine elaborate open-air baths and five family baths.
Upon arrival, walk through the grounds to the open-air bath, Yunozen no Sato.

Deeper, deeper.

Along the way, you can enjoy the view of the Inunaki River, where you can hear the pleasant murmuring of the river.

The retro atmosphere of the inn is very emotional.
After a 3-minute walk, we arrived safely, soothed by the peaceful scenery.

Yunozen no Sato is open from 10:00 to 22:30 (reception is open until 22:00, but this may vary depending on the season and plan).
The bathing fee is 900 yen for adults and 700 yen for members. 500 yen for children aged 3 to elementary school age, and 200 yen for children aged 0 to 2. *Free for guests staying overnight.

This is fine if you only want to use the large public bath and open-air bath, but there are also great value plans that include meals and massages.
Options include "Meal + Bath" (2,100 yen, you can choose one of nine types of meal, not available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays), "Kakesoba (Zaru soba) + Bath" (1,600 yen, not available Mondays to Thursdays), and "Relaxation (30 minutes) + Meal + Bath" (4,400 yen).
I'll introduce some recommended meal plans later.
Refresh yourself in the open-air bath! You'll be completely satisfied with this luxuriously designed hot spring.
The open-air bath "Yunozen no Sato" has nine different hot springs for both men and women, and the men's and women's baths are switched every Thursday only.

*We took this photo as a special occasion, but normally cell phones are not allowed inside.
The men's baths have five types of baths: Shosuke no Yu, Kappa Tengoku, Waterwheel Bath, Cold Spring Bath, and Sleeping Bath, as well as a sauna.

The women's bath has four types of baths: "Kaguyahime no Yu," "Thirty-six Immortal Poets no Yu," "Four Seasons no Yu," and "Cold Spring Bath," as well as a sauna.

The water is alkaline simple spring water, which is said to be effective for neuralgia and wounds.

The extraordinary atmosphere is irresistible.

In the midst of lush nature, your mind and body will be soothed.

The water has a thick consistency that is unique to hot springs, and it will leave your skin feeling silky smooth.

What's more, the temperature was just right! All the baths were at a comfortable temperature that even children could easily enjoy.

Body soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided in the washing area.

The changing room also has coin lockers that accept 10 yen coins and hair dryers.
After your bath, you can relax in the relaxation chairs in the rest area. *Available in the women's baths except on Thursdays.

If you are using the facility for a day trip, you can use the large public bath in addition to the open-air bath, so be sure to enjoy a bath with a different atmosphere.
Bathing and meal set! "Shokado Lunch Plan" 2,500 yen on weekdays
After refreshing in the hot springs, head to the restaurant "Obekkan."

This time, we used the "Shokado Lunch Plan" (3,000 yen, 2,500 yen on weekdays from Monday to Friday, 1,500 yen for elementary school students and younger), which includes lunch at the restaurant "Obekkan" in the hotel, as well as entry to the large public bath (11:00-15:00) and the open-air bath "Yunozen no Sato" (10:00-17:00). Don't miss out on the 500 yen discount on weekdays from Monday to Friday!
Meals will be prepared at your desired time between 11:30 and 13:30.
The menu is "Shokado Lunch"! The contents change depending on the season.

The three-tiered design perfectly matches the atmosphere of a long-established inn. It's luxurious and elegant.

The tempura on this day was shrimp, okra, and baby corn.

The batter was crispy and there were two shrimp on top, which was very satisfying.

Enjoy fresh seasonal seafood such as shrimp, squid, and conger eel in our nigiri sushi.

It also came with four small side dishes, including salmon sashimi and simmered shrimp and white fish, all of which were delicious.

This is the "Shokado Mini Lunch" for children.

The menu is full of popular dishes such as hamburger steak, fried chicken, shrimp cutlet, potatoes, and rice balls with plenty of furikake, so it's very filling!
My daughters were so excited as they had all their favorite foods.

After your meal, you can relax in the lobby, it's heavenly!

The sound of the river flowing outside the window was soothing, and I was able to lose track of time and relax.

Spending some time relaxing and unwinding is the perfect way to reward yourself for all your hard work.
It's a great place for the whole family to enjoy, so I highly recommend it ♡ Why not refresh yourself with a short hot spring trip that will heal your mind and body? (Text by Yuri-chan)
