[Fukuoka 2025 Event] Fun-filled! JR Hakata Station Square's "Hakata Summer Festival" to be held from August 5th to 17th
Bringing you the hottest events in Fukuoka!
This time, we will introduce the "Summer Festival" that will be held at the "JR Hakata Station Square" from Tuesday, August 5th.
[August 5th - 17th] Every night from 5pm! JR Hakata Station Square "Chikyujin.jp presents Hakata Summer Festival 2025"
The "Chikyujin.jp presents Hakata Summer Festival 2025" will be held at the "JR Hakata Station Square" from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM for 13 days from August 5th (Tue) to 17th (Sun), 2025. *In the event of bad weather, the event may be cancelled at the discretion of the organizers.
This year marks the 7th time this event has been held, making it a summer tradition at Hakata Station.
In the middle of the town, adults and children can have fun together, dancing the Bon Odori dance around a stage, fishing with yo-yos, scooping up super balls, and enjoying gourmet food from the food stalls.

In addition to the "Lantern Wall" that will add to the festive atmosphere,

This year, an approximately 8-meter-tall "Lantern Tower" will be the new symbol of the Hakata Summer Festival! The sight of countless lanterns shining brightly is truly breathtaking.
"Street food" that will enhance your festival mood
The festival venue is surrounded by a row of food stalls selling a variety of foods, including the summer festival staple of yakisoba with sauce, fried takoyaki, yakitori, and shaved ice. It's sure to get you in the festive mood!
Of course, soft drinks and alcohol are also sold.
"Ennichi" (Festival) - Fun for the whole family
There will also be plenty of festival activities for the whole family to enjoy, including yo-yo fishing, scooping super balls, shooting galleries, and masks.
Come and join in! The Bon Odori dance is sure to be a big hit!
The Bon Odori dances that are held every day at the venue are livened up by members of the Japanese drum group "Nowa Daiko," which was formed in Fukuoka City.

In addition to old familiar songs such as Tanko Bushi, you can enjoy a new type of Bon Odori that also uses pop music.
