Hello. I'm Momo, and I love going out.

This time, we will introduce you to a whole house rental accommodation in Ukiha city.

Near the Ukiha Roadside Station! You can rent the entire building at Yamakita no Akari (Ukiha City)

Ukiha no Akari is a brand of accommodations that allows you to rent an entire building, based on the concept of "staying in a mountain village and falling in love with the scenery." There are currently seven locations in Ukiha city, including inns and lodges where you can experience staying in beautiful satoyama.

The newest of these is Yamakita no Akari, located at the foot of the mountain and opened in June 2024. It is a special inn where the entire building can be rented exclusively for one group per day.

It is conveniently located about an hour's drive from Fukuoka city and a two-minute walk from Ukiha Roadside Station, where you can enjoy lush, tranquil scenery.

There are free parking spaces for about 5 cars in front of the inn and nearby, so it is convenient to come by car.

It's packed with special touches, including a terrace, a jacuzzi, and a large TV with 3D sound speakers!

Surrounded by nature, Yamakita no Akari is a very spacious 76 square meters! It can accommodate up to 10 people.

This time we used the "bed and breakfast plan" which allows you to bring your own food (starting from 27,000 yen per night for two people, 2,100 yen per elementary school student, free for preschoolers).

There is also a "Seasonal Vegetable BBQ Plan" with dinner included (starting from 34,000 yen per night for two people, 5,100 yen per elementary school student, 2,100 yen per preschool child). Reservations must be made at least three days in advance.

Check-in is contactless and staff are not present. Once your reservation is complete, you will receive a PIN code for the key box.

I took the key from the black key box next to the entrance and went inside.

The interior is very stylish, with a warm wooden feel. The kitchen and living/dining room are integrated, creating an open feeling. The ceiling and wallpaper designs are also lovely.

The first thing that caught my eye was this huge TV mounted on the wall.

The large 75-inch 4K LCD TV is equipped with 3D sound speakers, and you can even watch YouTube and Netflix for free (Netflix is scheduled to end its service at the end of October). The sound reverberates throughout the room, creating a truly immersive experience.

The kitchen is spacious and has enough space for several people to stand.

The apartment is also fully equipped with home appliances such as a microwave, toaster oven, rice cooker, and kettle.

Ukiha Roadside Station is stocked with tableware such as bowls, mugs, and plates, as well as kitchen utensils such as knives, cutlery, and even basic seasonings, so it's a great place to buy ingredients and enjoy cooking!

A refrigerator and freezer are also available for free use.

Organic green tea and organic roasted green tea made with Ukiha mountain tea were prepared on the dining table (the contents of the welcome drink may change).

Next to the dining area is a covered terrace with two tables and chairs, which can seat up to six people.

There is also a portable stove with a stand and a BBQ grill, so you can enjoy a BBQ with the ingredients you brought with you.

You can enjoy your meal while looking at the idyllic scenery, killing two birds with one stone!

In nature, insects can be a concern, but there was insect repellent and insecticide available so there was no need to worry.

The toilet is a private room, clean and spacious. Another nice feature is that it is separate from the bathroom.

The bathroom is also spacious! The jacuzzi is so large you can stretch your legs out, which is really appealing! The bubbles coming out from the bottom gently envelop your whole body, soothing your tired body.

There is also a washing machine and dryer. Detergent and fabric softener are automatically added!

There was also a 6-tatami Japanese-style room in the back.

Bedding is provided for the number of guests, and two futons can be laid out in the Japanese-style room (additional futons can be used by moving furniture in the living room).

The services are even more comprehensive. There is a first aid kit with medicine, a thermometer, gauze, etc., emergency water and emergency food (not for use outside of emergencies), and a disaster evacuation bag, so you can feel reassured even if an emergency occurs. I was impressed by the thoughtfulness of the inn manager.

We watched movies on the big screen, had a BBQ on the deck, and relaxed in the jacuzzi. We had a special time at this wonderful inn.

There are various tourist spots scattered around "Yamakita no Hikari."

There are day-trip hot spring facilities such as Chikugogawa Onsen, which are just a 10-minute drive away, and you can also enjoy fruit picking, playing in the river, and touring general stores and cafes. There are also plenty of restaurants, so we recommend taking a stroll around and sampling the local cuisine.

Pick up a tourist pamphlet at Ukiha Roadside Station and enjoy your stay in the countryside of Ukiha. The roadside station also has bicycle rentals.

By the way, the inn where I stayed also had tourist brochures available.
