[Fukuoka 2025 Summer Event] Discover the "mysteries" hidden all around you! Fukuoka City Science Museum "Kagaku no Mikata" Exhibition
Bringing you information on where to go during summer vacation!
This time, we will introduce a special exhibition being held at the Fukuoka City Science Museum.
[July 19th - August 26th, 2025] Special exhibition "Science: A Guide to Science" will be held at the Fukuoka City Science Museum.
The special exhibition "Kagaku no Mikata" will be held from Saturday, July 19th to Tuesday, August 26th, 2025 in the special exhibition room on the 3rd floor of the Fukuoka City Science Museum in Ropponmatsu, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka.
In fact, there are many mysteries hidden all around us, but they are hard to notice if you just look around. Based on the NHK Educational TV science education program "Kagaku no Mikata," which aims to cultivate the "seeds of science," we will be gathering a wide range of scientific perspectives!

Through sections such as "Take it apart," "Look at the cross section," "Make it bigger," "Think about the gap," "Touch it," "Line it up and compare it," "Sort it into groups," and "Look closely," you can have fun experiencing the "mysteries" around you.

Let's take it apart
What happens when you take a paper cup or a human body apart? Is there meaning to all of the parts? Take them apart and search for the "mysteries"!
Take a look at the cross section
Let's take a look at the cross-section of a ball, a pine cone, etc. Are there any mysteries that can't be seen from the outside?
Try enlarging it
Use a magnifying glass or digital microscope to enlarge familiar objects. The enlarged world is full of mysteries.
Thinking in between
What is the gap between things that change shape, such as living things and food? Let's think about how they change over time.
Try touching it
Warm, cold, hard, soft, fluffy, rough. Discover the "mystery" with the sensations of the palm of your hand.
Compare and compare
Let's line up and compare similarly shaped objects. What are the same or different in terms of color, pattern, size, weight, etc.?
Let's divide them into groups
How do you separate the things around you? Try and find your own way to separate them!
Take a closer look
Take a good look at the things you see in your daily life and outside. If you notice something, it's the first step to discovering your own "mystery"!
Also look out for events related to the "Science Friend" Exhibition!
Events related to the "Science Mirror" exhibition will also be held.
