It's bustling every day! Fukuoka Tenjin Tsutaya Bookstore opened on the 4th floor of ONE FUKUOKA BLDG. on April 24, 2025.

"Tsutaya Bookstore, Tenjin, Fukuoka" is a new cultural hub for adults who love what they do

The "TSUTAYA Tenjin Ekimae Fukuoka Building Store," which was loved for many years as "TSUTAYA Fuku Building" and sadly closed in 2019, has been revived as the lifestyle-oriented bookstore "Fukuoka Tenjin Tsutaya Books" in "One Building," which was created by integrating Fukuoka Building, Tenjin Core Building, and Tenjin Vivre.
Based on the concept of "Dual Standard," the store offers a lineup of books, miscellaneous goods, and content that aligns with polarized values such as literature and pop culture, trends and classics, and global and local through pop-ups and events. It is a hot, high-quality space that satisfies the curiosity of adults.
Another great feature is that it has the third and largest SHARE LOUNGE in Kyushu!
Starbucks' BOOK & CAFE has a selection of 40,000 books!
The store has approximately 40,000 books in a wide variety of genres, mainly focusing on "literature," "work style," "lifestyle," "travel," and "pop culture."
As you step through "Magazine Street," a street lined with magazines just inside the main entrance, you'll find a row of "boxes," or rooms that house books by theme. There are spacious passageways inside the boxes, making it easy to wander around.

The shelves are lined with not only the latest hot topics, but also books carefully selected by Tsutaya Bookstore's "book concierge." You'll be sure to encounter something new you love.
There is also a Starbucks inside the store, so you can enjoy reading in style with a cup of Starbucks coffee wherever you like.
The largest in Kyushu! Extremely user-friendly "SHARE LOUNGE"
Another big topic is the "SHARE LOUNGE" cafe space, which is available to anyone on a time-based basis. This is the third store in Kyushu, following "TSUTAYA BOOKSTORE Fukuoka Airport" and "TSUTAYA Fukuoka Nishijin Store." It is the largest in Kyushu, measuring 165 tsubo (592 m2) and with approximately 150 seats.
There are three main plans: the "Soft Drink Plan" is 1,100 yen for 60 minutes, 550 yen for an extension of 30 minutes, and 3,850 yen for full day use. The "Alcohol Plan" is 1,540 yen for 60 minutes, and 770 yen for an extension of 30 minutes. The "Kids Plan" for preschoolers is 550 yen for 60 minutes, 275 yen for an extension of 30 minutes, and 1,925 yen for full day use. Children under 3 years old are free.

The "Alcohol Plan" offers a wide variety of canned and bottled alcoholic beverages, as well as draft beer, which is appealing. It's a great place to stop by after work.
It is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, power outlets, monitors, and other rental equipment, making it an ideal environment for use as a coworking space.
Not only that, you can also bring in up to three books before purchasing, making it a great place to relax and use as a book cafe.
Apparently many people use it as a place to take a break between shopping, or while waiting for their children's lessons in the Tenjin area.
There are also private rooms, "ROOM A" (maximum 7 people, 5,500 yen for 60 minutes, 2,750 yen for 30 minutes extension) and "ROOM B" (maximum 8 people, 6,600 yen for 60 minutes, 3,300 yen for 30 minutes extension, photo below). A large monitor is installed, and it is popular for use not only for meetings, but also for activities such as fan activities and offline meetings.

The first "IP Bookstore Satellite Store" in the country has also appeared
"Fukuoka Tenjin Tsutaya Bookstore" inherits the spirit of "pop culture" that "TSUTAYA Tenjin Ekimae Fukuoka Building Store" has been promoting through movies and music, while updating it with a style that suits the current era.
As a symbol of this, the "IP Bookstore Satellite Store" will be opened nationwide for the first time, focusing on Japan's representative "IP entertainment content" such as comics, anime, and VTubers. The store will offer "Sumi-e goods" that are exclusive to the popular IP Bookstore, as well as the palm-sized "Tapinui Series" mascots wrapped in fluffy fabric.

"GREEN FUNDING TOUCH & TRY" also makes its first appearance in Kyushu! A pop-up space with seasonal items
