The Gate Hotel, a popular hotel brand with locations in Tokyo, Kanagawa (Yokohama), Kyoto, and other areas, has arrived in Kyushu for the first time.
The Gate Hotel Fukuoka by HULIC opened on April 24, 2025.
Located on the upper floors of the complex "HULIC SQUARE FUKUOKA TENJIN," which is directly connected to Exit 5 of Tenjin Station on the Subway Kuko Line, it is the perfect base for business or sightseeing.

The hotel's design concept is "vitality" and "intelligence." The space is a fusion of Fukuoka's traditional culture, the energy of its people, and the sophisticated atmosphere of an international city.

The guest rooms are located from the 10th to 18th floors, with a total of 171 rooms in 6 types.

A restaurant on the top floor of the hotel where you can enjoy superb grilled dishes with a spectacular view
Anchor Grill Fukuoka, located on the 19th floor, the top floor of the hotel, is a restaurant where you can enjoy grilled dishes made with ingredients unique to Fukuoka.

[Breakfast] Perfect for a slightly luxurious Tenjin morning
From 7:00 to 10:00, you can enjoy "Breakfast" (3,800 yen, 3,300 yen for overnight guests). It is a semi-buffet style, and you can choose one of the following main dishes from "Eggs Benedict," "French Toast," or "Kokonoka (limited to 30 meals per day)."
The highlight is "Koko no Kaori," which is only available at "The Gate Hotel Fukuoka." The food is served in nine masu boxes, allowing you to enjoy the appeal of Kyushu ingredients.

[Lunch] "One Plate Lunch" from 2,530 yen
Lunchtime is from 11:30 to 16:00 (last orders for lunch at 14:30, last orders for main menu at 15:30). In addition to the main menu, there is the "One Plate Lunch" (2,530 yen) which includes a main plate (deli, main fish or meat), soup, dessert, bread and coffee.

You can enjoy the "Chef's Lunch" (3,850 yen) which includes an appetizer, soup, main dish (fish or meat), dessert, bread and coffee, or the "Chef's Lunch (Double Main)" (4,950 yen) which allows you to taste two main dishes, fish and meat.
From here, I'd like to introduce the special lunch course that I had at the preview event.
On the left is "Saga Prefecture New Onion Cream Soup." The smooth texture and sweetness of the onions are outstanding, and it gently seeps into your body.
The "Melange Salad" on the right side of the photo is a salad of kale and six kinds of vegetables. The vegetables used were selected by the "Hakata European Vegetable Research Association," a team of farmers in Fukuoka City. I enjoyed the crunchy texture and delicious flavor of the ingredients.

The bread is from GRANDIR, a popular bakery that also has a store on the second basement floor of Hulic Square Fukuoka Tenjin.

The main dish was "Grilled Hakata Jidori Chicken with BBQ Sauce and Seasonal Vegetables." The balance of the fragrant, juicy chicken and the well-seasoned sauce was perfect.

And for dessert, we have "Nakamuraen Yame Matcha Basque-style Cheesecake with Seasonal Fruits" (Grand Menu Single Item "Yame Matcha Basque-style Cheesecake" 1,200 yen). You'll be addicted to the melting texture and bittersweet flavor of Yame Matcha.

The grand menu, which is available from 11:30-22:30 (last orders at 22:00), includes dishes such as "Blancmange with Passion Fruit and Mango Jelly" (1,200 yen) and "Smooth Salted Pudding Made with Specially Selected Eggs and Tonka Beans" (1,200 yen), making it a great place to stop by as a cafe.
