During the New Year holidays, public transportation schedules and traffic conditions will be significantly different from normal.

Fukuoka City Subway

■ New Year's holiday schedule

From Saturday, December 28, 2024 to Sunday, January 5, 2025, the service will operate on the Saturday/Holiday Schedule.

*The Friday Night Train will not run on Friday, January 3, 2025.

■ New Year's Eve special train

[Operating period] January 1, 2025 (Wednesday/Holiday) 0:00 to 2:00

[Number of trains] 36 (Airport Line/Hakozaki Line: 26 Nanakuma Line: 10)

JR Kyushu

■ Kyushu Shinkansen

Mainly around the New Year period, 148 "Sakura" and 5 "Tsubame" special trains will be added, for a total of 153 additional trains. *Numbers are the totals for December 2024 to February 2025.

■ Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen

A total of 256 additional Kamome trains will be operated, mainly around the New Year period. *Number of trains is the total from December 2024 to February 2025.

■ Conventional line express trains

A total of 118 additional "Sonic" special trains will be operated, mainly around the New Year period. *Number of trains is the total from December 2024 to February 2025.

JR West

From Friday, December 27, 2024 to Sunday, January 5, 2025, all seats on the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen "Nozomi" will be reserved.

*All Nozomi trains running between Tokyo and Hakata are eligible.
*During the above period, trains other than "Nozomi" ("Hikari", "Kodama", "Mizuho", and "Sakura") will have unreserved seats as usual.

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine New Year's visit traffic restrictions

Temporary traffic restrictions will be implemented around Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine from 23:00 on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 to 18:00 on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 (national holiday), and from 9:00 to 18:00 on Thursday, January 2 and Friday, January 3, 2025.
