This time we would like to introduce you to Munakata Strawberry Farm, a new strawberry picking spot in Munakata that opened on January 5th, 2025!

Opening in 2025! A fully equipped facility where you can eat all the strawberries you want for 40 minutes at "Munakata Strawberry Farm" (Munakata City)

Munakata Strawberry Farm is located in the tranquil scenery of Munakata City, just under an hour's drive from central Fukuoka.

Since it opened as a tourist farm, it is fully equipped to allow you to enjoy strawberry picking in comfort!

There is plenty of parking space for 36 cars.

いちご狩りは40分食べ放題。

Prices from December to the end of March and during the Golden Week period are 2,800 yen for adults (high school students and above), 2,200 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and 1,600 yen for preschoolers (3 years and above).

From April to May, admission fees are 2,200 yen for adults (high school students and above), 1,600 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and 1,000 yen for preschoolers (3 years and above).

All admission is free for children under 3 years old.

When you open the greenhouse door, you'll see strawberry farms spreading out on both sides!

First of all, the aisles are wide, so it's easy to pass other people.

Another great thing about picking strawberries is that the seedlings are planted high up, so you can enjoy picking while standing! Not only does it reduce fatigue without having to crouch, but it also means you don't have to worry about getting the bottoms of your clothes dirty.

There is also a step stool, so even small children can enjoy it safely!

There is a table in the center, so you can sit down and enjoy your strawberries at your leisure.

Compare and taste 5 different kinds of strawberries!

Munakata Strawberry Farm grows a total of five varieties of strawberries: Amaou, Beni Hoppe, Tochiotome, Saga Honoka, and Oi C Berry.

Actually, I visited the shop before it opened, so at the time there were still strawberries in the ripe stage, but now there are lots of bright red strawberries in stock.

You can choose your favorite variety, or try all five varieties to compare them.

The facilities are family-friendly, with a kids' space, nursing room, and spacious toilets!

There are also plenty of family-friendly facilities.

The women's restroom also has a larger toilet where you can bring your child.

Events such as cake making are held in this prefabricated building.

ハウスのすぐ隣には広々とした休憩スペースがあり、ソファや自由に使える黒板もあるので、いちご狩りの後にゆったり過ごせます。

There is also a kids' space and baby beds, and it can also be used as a nursing room.

There are also baseball, badminton, soccer balls and other equipment available, so you can play to your heart's content after strawberry picking.

Munakata Strawberry Farm is full of fun events, mainly on weekends. Here are the events taking place in January!

"Aim for perfection!" (held every day)

The challenge is to choose strawberries that are exactly the specified weight and pack them into a pack! If you can't pick more than 10g, you can get half the price for the strawberries you take home. Participation is free.

You can also use those strawberries in the "Decorate Cake" event held on weekends and holidays.

"Decorated cake" (Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only, limited to 2 groups per day)

Let's try making a cake using freshly picked strawberries♪ By filling sponge with cream and strawberries and decorating it, you can create a one-of-a-kind cake!

Sponge cake and fresh cream come with a takeaway box and can be made for 2,500 yen and up! *Strawberries and decoration items are charged separately. The shape of the sponge may change.

"Find Hatchi!" (Every day)

Inside the house, there are illustrations of "Hatchie" drawn all over the place. There are a total of 15 (=strawberries) of Hatchi, so this is an event where you can find all of them!

The time limit is 30 minutes, and if you find all 15, you'll get a 15% discount on your next visit! The participation fee is 100 yen (which will go towards purchasing bees, which are essential for producing strawberries).

"Memories Photo Service" (only available on Monday, January 26th)

On January 26th (Sunday) only, there will be a 15-minute close-up photo event by a professional photographer (1500 yen per group for 15 minutes, all data taken will be kept). Adults can take pictures of their children without having to concentrate on strawberry picking. Reservations can be made by DM or phone (same-day reservations are possible if there are vacancies).

An evening strawberry picking plan called "Strawberry Night" (reservations required) will be available on February 14th (Fri) and 15th (Sat), March 14th (Fri) and 15th (Sat). You can enjoy strawberry picking in a fantastical house lit up in red (9,000 yen for two people, 40 minutes all-you-can-eat between 18:00 and 20:00, hot drink included).

You can become the owner of a strawberry! Name your strawberry with your favorite name♪

In addition, Munakata Strawberry Farm has a system called "My Strawberry" that allows you to become the owner of strawberry seedlings for a certain period of time. This allows you to have ownership of the strawberry seedlings in the greenhouse (10 Amaou plants per share, 2,999 yen per share per month).

As an owner, you can take part in strawberry growing tasks such as planting and thinning at a time that is convenient for you, and all strawberries you pick will belong to you (home delivery is available at an additional charge).

You can experience farming with your children by touching the soil and observing the growth of strawberries from seedlings to harvest, so it's highly recommended not only as a leisure activity but also as a way to learn about food.

You can also give your contracted strawberries a name of your choice, which will make you feel even more attached to them!
