[Fukuoka Event] Introducing a new 9-seater vehicle! Umi-no-Nakamichi "Hana Matsuri" until November 4th

It's the perfect season to get out and about! We'll introduce you to some events that will allow you to spend some incredibly fun and enjoyable time outside.

Let's check out Uminaka*Hana Festival 2024, where you can fully enjoy autumn.

"Uminaka*Hanamatsuri 2024" is being held at Umi-no-Nakamichi Seaside Park until November 4th!

The Uminonakamichi National Government Seaside Park stretches 6 kilometers from east to west and covers an area of 350 hectares. In addition to being able to enjoy the changing seasonal flowers, you can also interact with cute animals such as squirrel monkeys, capybaras, and kangaroos in the Animal Forest.

Uminonakamichi Seaside Park will be holding the Uminaka*Hana Matsuri 2024 until Monday, November 4th, 2024 (national holiday).

The park will be decorated with 1 million cosmos and other autumn flowers, Halloween decorations will be installed throughout the park, and there will be a lot of attractions, including a limited-time ride that will be very popular!

1 million cosmos flowers and 2,000 kochia plants... autumn flowers are in full bloom.

Cosmos

One million cosmos flowers bloom in full glory on the spacious 10,000 square meter "Flower Hill." The best time to see them is from early to late October.

Kochia (Autumn leaves)

In the "Rainbow Flower Bed" and "Colorful Flower Bed", 2,000 kochia plants, which had green leaves until summer, turn brilliant red in autumn! The best time to see them is from early to late October.

Muhlenbergia capillaris

This is Muhlenbergia capillaris, a type of grass with beautiful red spikes that was introduced last year and has been well received.

1,080 plants will paint the "Colorful Flower Bed" a gentle and elegant red. The best time to see them is from early October to early November.

Autumn Roses

Roses bloom in the fall too! In the Rose Garden, 1,200 roses of 220 varieties bloom in full glory. The best time to see them is from mid-October to late November.

New rides for Halloween... tons of events you can't miss!

Halloween photo spot

From Saturday, October 5th to Thursday, October 31st, "Halloween photo spots" will be set up all over the park! Halloween decorations will be added to the "Flower Museum," "Animal Forest," and "Play Cafe."

There are also Halloween-themed "AR photo frames" available, and plenty of photogenic spots. You'll be able to take photos with a different atmosphere than usual.

Uminaka Kite Festival

The Uminaka Kite Flying Festival (free viewing) will be held on October 13th (Sunday) and 14th (Monday, national holiday).

Kites such as the large 45m long "Whale Balloon Kite" will fly in the clear autumn sky.

A kite-making workshop will also be held at the same time! As it was very popular last year, the capacity has been doubled (100 kites per day, 300 yen per person). Please give it a try!

Fukuoka Party Bike

The new 9-seater vehicle, the "Party Chari," is available for a limited time until Sunday, October 27th and is in operation for the first time this year!

It is a pedal-powered vehicle, with six people pedalling and one driver steering, and travels at a speed roughly equivalent to a brisk walk.

It has the same charm as a food stall, where you can casually chat while eating and drinking at the counter, and it seems like you could even become friends with people you've never met before!

Currently, it is not yet approved for use on public roads, so it can only be ridden at Umi-no-Nakamichi Seaside Park. It's a rare experience!

<Fukuoka Party Bike>
Operation dates: Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays until October 27, 2024 (Sunday). *Irregular weekday operation. Service is scheduled to be suspended on October 6 (Sunday), 7 (Monday), 15 (Tuesday), and 21 (Monday).
Hours: 10:00-17:00 (last entry at 16:00), advance reservations required
Location: Around the Flower Clock (follow the designated course)
Price: 1,000 yen for adults, 500 yen for children
