[Outings with kids in Fukuoka] Comfortable even on hot days! Report on the super-experiential event "Magical Museum" where you can play with light and sound

Hello! I'm Hakata Aya, a writer who loves hot information about Fukuoka.

The Magic Museum will be open until Sunday, August 25, 2024! It is popular and can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from children to adults.

This is an indoor event that can be enjoyed regardless of the weather or heat, so it's perfect for a family outing! I experienced it with my elementary school-aged child, so I'd like to tell you some recommended points ♪

[Until August 25th] See, touch and play! The "ultra" experiential event that has captivated the world, "The Magical Museum" is here! (BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA)

The Magical Museum is currently being held in the event hall on the 6th floor of BOSS E・ZO FUKUOKA, a complex entertainment zone next to the Fukuoka PayPay Dome.

This is a super experiential event with the theme of "see, touch, play" that anyone can intuitively enjoy. A magical and mysterious art space created by light and sound unfolds.

It has been held both domestically and internationally, more than 100 times!

There are 9 works that are making their first appearance in Fukuoka! Introducing the recommended areas

This is a large-scale exhibition, including nine works that will be appearing in Fukuoka for the first time. We will introduce the recommended areas.

Tsukumogami / Teruaki Tsubokura

"Tsukumogami" is based on the theme of the ancient legend of "ghosts that dwell in waste."

Waste materials such as tools and home appliances are attracted to your body as you are projected on the screen, transforming you into a robot. When you move your body in front of the screen, the robot moves in sync with you.

Colorful Dreams / Naoaki Fujimoto

A fantastical space where light and shadow intertwine. Your shadow appears in seven different colors.

We recommend trying to touch the butterflies moving around, or if you visit in a group, moving back and forth to enjoy the difference in their sizes!

SplashDisplay / Yasushi Matoba, Shingo Yamano, Taro Tokui

This piece is made of sparkling beads, and when you throw a ball and hit the target, the beads fly up like a fountain.

The fantastical sight was overwhelming! This was the corner that got the children the most excited.

Anime Park / Yusuke Shigeta

This is the first time this work has appeared in Fukuoka. It is shot from above at the signal of "three, two, one." By moving it slightly and taking the shot several times, a stop-motion animation is completed.

Once all the filming is finished there will be a screening, so you can enjoy comparing your work with that of your friends!

Throw, hit, spread/switch

This is the first time this work has appeared in Fukuoka. When you throw a ball at the screen, images of fireworks will appear.

Every time you throw it, fireworks of different sizes and colors will fly up, creating an exciting "fireworks display"!

This was the part that got me the most excited as an adult. I wanted to keep pitching forever.

See yourself reflected in a famous painting.

When you move around in the paintings, they change, and you'll have an amazing experience! Please give it a try!
