Teraha Spa Resort and Koinoki Shrine collaborate! Special event to pray for good relationships (Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City)

Teruha Spa Resort, a hot spring facility in Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City, is currently holding a collaboration project with Koinoki Shrine! For a limited time, the inside of the facility will be filled with hearts.

Teriha Spa Resort is one of the largest hot spring facilities in Kyushu. There is a wide variety of baths, including rock baths, high-concentration carbonated spring baths, ceramic baths, and fragrant baths, and the saunas are attractive with multiple types to enjoy, including dry saunas and herbal saunas. There are a total of nine types of bedrock baths to enjoy, including an aroma-filled room, an agate foot bath, and a room with walls covered in amethyst. Facility usage fees start from 1,980 yen for adults on weekdays (check the official website for details).

The collaborative project with Koinoki Shrine, "Koinoki Shrine Collaboration Good Relationship Happiness Festival," will be held until Sunday, March 31, 2024. In addition to the main store in Teriha, the same event is also being held at the Teriha Spa Resort Moji store in Kitakyushu City.

The only one in Japan! Koinoki Shrine, dedicated to the god of love, Koimocho

Koinoki Shrine is located in Mizuta, Chikugo City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and is said to be the only shrine in the country dedicated to the deity Koi no Mikoto.

It is beloved as the "god of happiness in relationships" and the "god of love," and many people come from all over the country to worship here, making it a "major power spot for love."

Purify yourself with items that are blessed for good fortune in finding a partner!

The attraction of this event is that you can purify yourself with items that have been blessed at Koinoki Shrine to bring you good fortune in finding a good partner!

You can pour yourself over yourself using water that has a blessed cypress plate floating in it, or you can take a salt sauna using blessed salt.

At the rock room "Shishun Sekido" where you can enjoy the aroma of aromas, the aroma during this period is a blend of "sweet orange" and "ylang ylang" which are said to bring good luck in finding a good partner. "Sweet orange" has a sweet citrus scent that makes you feel active, while "ylang ylang" is an aroma known to improve luck in love.

Love fortune telling and votive plaques also available at the mini shrine!

When you go up to the second floor where the bathroom is, you'll be greeted by a mini shrine!

There is a special "Koi Mikuji" fortune-telling slip for Koinoki Shrine on display here.

This is a great idea for those who can't make it to Koinoki Shrine because it's far away! The fortune slips tied inside the building will be donated to Koinoki Shrine at a later date.

Original votive plaques are on display in the bedrock bath area.

This event is free to participate in. Write your wish on an original heart-shaped votive plaque and dedicate it to the shrine. After the event, it will be dedicated to Koinoki Shrine. It will be available until all votive plaques are gone, so be sure to get in early!

The rock room's "Shakunetsubo" is an impressive space made using Mishima lava from Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

The room temperature is kept higher than in the other rock baths, and at 2pm every Saturday night they also hold a "loyly" session, where water is poured onto the sauna stones to generate steam.

They also occasionally hold "Aufguss" sessions, where professionals are invited to spin a large towel around the room to mix up hot air!

Look for hearts in the building! Hidden hearts have appeared♪

During the event, "hidden hearts" will appear all over the spacious building.

If you look at the floor, you will see a clear heart-shaped shadow. This spot is a rare hidden heart that can only be seen in the morning on sunny days. You might be lucky if you come across it!

There are more than six hearts scattered throughout the building, so be sure to try and find them!

Popular with families with children! Plenty of relaxing spots other than the baths

In fact, Teruha Spa Resort is also a popular spot for families with children.

Go to the back of the rock room area and take the elevator to the 4th floor where you will find the kids' room.

There are comics and play equipment, and there are reclining chairs right next to it so you can relax while your kids play. It's a spot only known by those in the know, so it's often empty, making it a hidden gem, especially on weekdays.

There is also a fitness room, and the floor is made of soft material so you can do yoga.

The workspace is equipped with Wi-Fi and power outlets, so you can bring your laptop and spend the day relaxing and soothing.

Teruha Spa Resort also offers overnight stays. The bunk-bed style room shown in the photo can accommodate up to three people. It's also recommended for girls' get-togethers.
