Enjoy the beauty-enhancing, silky hot spring waters of Tamana Onsen ♡ "The meals were also luxurious and very satisfying" A two-day, one-night trip to Kumamoto with children
A very satisfying plan with 1 night stay and 2 meals included! Choose from Western or Chinese cuisine for the "course dinner"
This time, our family chose the "one night, two meals included plan."
We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant "SIKI-TEI" on the first floor.
You can enjoy a meal in style while looking out at the beautiful garden.

Baby bouncers and high chairs are also available, so even those with small children can use the facility with peace of mind.

Dinner is a course meal and you can choose between Western and Chinese cuisine.
We chose the Western course meal. *The course contents change depending on the season.

We started with a colorful "Assorted Hors d'oeuvres" made with an abundance of seasonal ingredients. On this day, the menu included a fragrant cheese quiche, duck pastrami with a spicy black pepper flavor, tender roast beef that melts in your mouth, bite-sized mini hamburgers, pickles, olives, and bamboo charcoal bread.

The next dish is "Smoked Salmon with Seasonal Leaves," an elegant dish served with a simple lemon-flavored sauce. The plate is also served chilled, which is a nice touch.

"Omar Shrimp Bisque with Olive Fragrance" is packed with the rich aroma and flavor of shrimp. It wasn't overcooked, so it was relatively easy to drink.

Image: Yurichan
"Chicken stewed in cream curry" is a mild-tasting curry soaked in fresh cream.

Image: Yurichan
The chicken is simmered until melty and tender, making it exceptionally tender! It comes with 5 or 6 generously large pieces of chicken.

This is "Kumamoto Prefecture sea bass and dried tomato cream pie wrapped in baked sauce creme de crustasse."

Image: Yurichan
The sea bass and cherry tomatoes were wrapped in a hot pie crust. The basil-flavored cream sauce was a perfect match and it was delicious!

The main dish is "Gruelled beef fillet with Japonaise sauce and warm vegetables."

Image: Yurichan
Contrary to my expectations that the portion would be small because there were so many items, it was actually quite filling.
The meat was medium rare and very tender. The steak sauce was a Japonaise base with black pepper and Japanese-style truffle sauce added, and it was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it.

Finish off with some gorgeous Western-style chirashi sushi.

Dessert was chocolate cake, pear, Kyoho grapes, strawberries (and usually figs).

I was impressed with all the dishes that came out!
By the way, the "Children's Meal" (1,650 yen) looks like this.

Image: Yurichan
Rice balls, hamburger steak, fried shrimp, fried chicken, potatoes, corn soup, dessert...everything is so luxurious you'd think it was the main course!
The kids were delighted as they had all their favorite foods.

Enjoy a breakfast buffet with about 40 different items
For breakfast, you can enjoy a buffet with about 40 types of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes.
Here are some of the dishes that were on display. *The dishes may change depending on the season.
Pork and onion shumai.

Freshly fried crispy dumplings.

Juicy steamed shrimp gyoza.

Chewy water dumplings in soy sauce soup.

What makes it really unique is the wide selection of dim sum available.
We also have kid-friendly favorites such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, and crab cream croquettes.

There is a wide variety of Japanese dishes on the menu, including kinpira burdock, nameko mozuku seaweed, konnyaku salad, hijiki simmered seaweed, and pickles. It's nice that they are all served on small plates!

Image: Yurichan
The salads include melange, cherry tomatoes, mizuna, kernel corn, potato salad and more.

There are three types of bread.

There is a wide variety of Japanese, Western and Chinese cuisine available, and you will be overwhelmed.

Another great thing about this hotel is that the breakfast buffet is free for preschool children who share a bed with their parents. This hotel is recommended for those traveling with children.

It was a thoroughly satisfying two days, with the hotel staff's endless hospitality, delicious food, wonderful rooms, and a superb large public bath!
