Enjoy matcha ♡ [Buy at Kyoto Station] 3 popular souvenirs recommended for trips and business trips

Hello, this is the ARNE Osaka editorial department.

This time, we will introduce three of the latest souvenirs recommended by the ARNE Osaka editorial team that can be purchased at Kyoto Station!

These are all highly popular items both online and in stores.

1: Gion Sakai "Kyo Baum"

The first product we will introduce is "Kyoto Baum" (1,296 yen), which was created from the desire to create a sweet that is unique to Kyoto. It is a classic Kyoto souvenir that uses ingredients that are native to Kyoto.

The two-colored baumkuchen dough is made using Kyoto's traditional Uji matcha and soy milk made with Kyoto's underground water. The contrast between the vibrant green and soft cream color makes for a beautiful appearance!

It is made with 100% domestic wheat flour, giving it a moist and fluffy texture. The matcha dough is also blended with sencha, so the moment you put it in your mouth, the aroma of matcha spreads softly. It goes perfectly with the mellow and gentle tasting soy milk dough ♡ The moderate sweetness makes it delicious to add to your mouth.

2: Fumonan "Kyoto France"

Next on our list is "Kyoto France" (4 pieces for 561 yen, 5 pieces for 756 yen, 8 pieces for 1,188 yen), created to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Kyoto-Paris Friendship Pact (sister city). It is a combination of financiers, which originated in Paris, and Uji matcha, which is produced in Kyoto.

The soft dough is made with fermented butter from France. The matcha used is "Shoraku," a Kyoto-produced Uji matcha selected by Yasuyuki Suda, a national tea examiner with a 10th dan rank. The contrast between the two colors evokes the relationship between Kyoto and France.

It has a rich buttery flavor and is very satisfying ♡ You can also taste the bitterness of the matcha, making it a sophisticated flavor.
