[2023 Latest] Lights on November 2nd! Kokura 21 area will be enveloped in sparkling lights at "Kokura Illumination 2023"

We are currently introducing illuminations from all over Fukuoka Prefecture.

This time, we will be introducing "Kokura Illumination 2023," which can be enjoyed in all 21 areas of Kokura, Kitakyushu.

In October, the lights were turned on for three days as a special event to coincide with the National Association of City Council Chairpersons Research Forum in Kitakyushu, but regular lighting will resume tomorrow, Thursday, November 2nd, 2023!

"Kokura Illumination 2023" will be lit up from November 2, 2023! Enjoy it in all 21 areas

"Kokura Illumination 2023" will start on Thursday, November 2, 2023 and can be enjoyed until Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

The main areas are roughly divided into the "Area around Murasaki River" and the "Area around JR Kokura Station." From 17:00 to 22:00, all 21 areas will be decorated with sparkling illuminations.

B: Komeda Coffee Kitakyushu Katsuyama Park Branch "A sparkling special seat just for you"

A special seat where you can enjoy the best location in the country, "Komeda Coffee Shop." Enjoy the gentle light and warm coffee.

C: Daiichi Transportation Industry Co., Ltd. "Daiichi Transportation Illumination 2023"

A fantastical illumination featuring Daiichi Transportation's official mascot "Takuma" as well as taxis and houses.

D: Kokura Castle Street: "This is the street overlooking Kokura Castle."

Illuminations installed on the street lamps on both sides of Kokura Castle Street, which is 260 meters long in total. The motif is snowflakes.

The walls of the new building are decorated with illuminations, and the glass surfaces of the main building reflect the light and shine. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Crossroads woven with light.

F: Murasaki Riverbank "A carpet of illuminations spreading out as far as the eye can see"

The two-colored lights that spread across the sky are fantastical! True to the theme, the illuminations are like a carpet.

G: Ogai Bridge "KOKURA Monument" "Kokura's Winter Illumination Tunnel"

The classic "KOKURA Monument" appears in the center of Ogai Bridge over the Murasaki River. In the background, the number "60th" is written in floral letters to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Kitakyushu City's incorporation.

Be sure to check out the "Kokura Winter Illumination Tunnel," which brightly colors Ogai Bridge. The scenery of the mainly purple lights reflected on the water surface is also beautiful.

The illuminations are reflected on the surface of the Murasaki River, creating a special feeling as if you are enveloped in light.

O: FFG Kitakyushu Headquarters Building "FFG Illumination 2023"

This year marks the 11th year of the illuminations at FFG's Kitakyushu headquarters building.

With a new look, you can enjoy an adult blue Christmas reminiscent of jewels and cut glass.

P: AMU Plaza Kokura "Let's go out in winter from AMU"

A gorgeous Christmas ornament on the 3rd floor of AMU Plaza Kokura (in the center of the 3rd floor concourse at Kokura Station) creates a fun Christmas atmosphere together with the street piano.

Q: JR Kokura Station Kokura Castle Entrance "Welcome to Kokura" Illumination and "KOKURA Snow Dome"

The entrance to Kokura Station is decorated with a simple and calm winter atmosphere. There are plenty of photo spots, including champagne-colored illuminations, a large flower-shaped "60" sign, and a snow globe filled with the charms of Kokura!

R: JR Kokura Station Shinkansen Exit "Light-filled illumination" "Green illumination"
