Experience earning, buying and saving with KidZania's exclusive currency "KidZos"
The currency used at KidZania is "KidZos," which are given to children as a salary after completing activities. The KidZos earned by trying out different jobs can be used at the shopping mall inside the facility, which is only accessible to children.
You can also receive services or deposit the money in a bank.
When you open a bank account, you will be given a cash card. You can have your salary deposited into your account or pay by card.
You can even pay "KidZos" to go to vocational school!
Depending on the activity, there are pavilions where you can pay kidzos to participate. In addition to the mask workshop mentioned above, there is also a stationery shop (uni) where you can make your own ballpoint pen set, and a driver's license testing center (Mitsubishi Motors Corporation) where drivers can take part.
You can also go to a vocational school (Asou Juku). You can choose from four classes: "Manufacturing," "Beauty," "Communication," and "Programming." You will receive a student ID card, and if you experience work related to the course you have taken, your salary will increase by 2 Kizos!
Not only do they get to experience work, but they also get to experience how society works, which is a great opportunity to help develop a sense of independence in children.
There is also a drink bar in the parents' lounge! How parents spend their time
Only children are allowed in each pavilion, so parents will have to watch from outside the pavilion.
Also, if children are enjoying themselves, they do not necessarily need to be accompanied around the pavilion. For this reason, there is a "Parents' Lounge" on the second floor as a rest area.
There is a drink bar (300 yen), which can be used as many times as you like until the time of leaving on the day after purchasing it. If all the children in your group are in the first grade of elementary school or above, the parents can leave the venue temporarily.
Get your photo taken at a photo service
Photography is permitted from outside the pavilion while children are experiencing the experience.
However, sometimes it's hard to see inside the pavilion and you can't take good photos. In those cases, you can purchase photos taken by KidZania's in-house photographers.
You can also ask staff wearing a "photo mark" or staff at each pavilion to take your photo.
The photos you take will be displayed near the central plaza on the first floor, and if you find one you like, you can purchase it (2L size 1,500 yen, large size 2,000 yen *both include data).
There are also plenty of dining areas
There are numerous eating and drinking spaces within the facility, including the central plaza.
You can eat at the facility, which sells curry, noodles, and light meals at RF1, freshly baked pizza at Pizza-La Express, and Sanuki udon at Miyatake Sanuki Udon. *Kidzo cannot be used.
Please feel free to use it during your free time between activities.
Toddler area available for preschool children
The "Toddler Area" is where preschool children can play freely with their parents.
There are plenty of authentic play equipment, including a "construction site" and a "baby gym," so even if you come with your siblings, the younger child won't get bored while they wait and can have fun♪
You can buy merchandise even on days when you don't attend!
There is a shop on the second floor of LaLaport Fukuoka where you can purchase KidZania merchandise, so you can stop by even on days when you are not visiting KidZania.
There is a wide range of items on offer, from toys that children will love to original goods.
Until January 8, 2024! "Kidzo New Year's present" and "Make your own fortune badge"
During the period up until Monday, January 8th, 2024 (national holiday), all children who visit will receive a "10 Kidzo New Year's present"!
Also, for the same period until January 8th (Monday, national holiday), you can experience making your own fortune-telling badge at the Expo Center (City Map 1F-30) (experience fee: 10 Kizo, time required: 15 minutes).
The design of the badge will be decided by fortune-telling - Chukichi, Daikichi, Cho Daikichi. Try your luck for the new year!
In another article, I will also introduce how my children actually experienced the activities. Please look forward to it! (Text by Aya Hakata.)
