[Moe Nakatani's Thailand Travel Report] Recommended Items Bought at a Drugstore in Bangkok

Hello. I'm Moe Nakatani, an FBS announcer.

I went to Bangkok, Thailand at the end of June.

At that time, I bought some souvenirs for myself at the drugstore. Here are some recommended items that I used after returning home and thought were "must buys!"

The prices listed are the rates at the time of purchase, so please use them as a reference only.

1. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

The first one is CeraVe moisturizing cream.

It is an American skincare brand, but it is a popular brand that is sold in almost all drugstores in Thailand. By the way, in Japan, you can purchase it online, but there are no stores selling it.

The reason it's so popular is because it's skincare that's gentle on the skin and was developed by a dermatologist! It went viral on social media, and at one point it was sold out all over the world.

There are a variety of products available, but the ones I purchased were the "Moisturizing Cream" (approx. 800 yen), which can be used on the entire body including the face, body, and hands, and the "Reparative Hand Cream" (approx. 1,000 yen), which can be used on the hands.

It feels a little hard in your hand.

But when you unfold it...

Oh my goodness!!!

It spreads really well! It's refreshing and melts into the skin smoothly.

It is not sticky so you can also use it for your morning skin care routine.

I should have bought a larger size! I'm already regretting it (lol).

2. SRICHAND face powder and sunscreen

The second place I went to was SRICHAND, the brand that is synonymous with Thai cosmetics. I bought two face powders and a sunscreen.

This is "TRANSLUCENT POWDER" (approximately 1,200 yen). The packaging is so cute!

It's a pale yellow powder so it can be used on any skin tone.

And because the particles are so fine, it not only prevents the skin from getting shiny, but also hides pores. What's more, it's a lightweight powder that is said to be resistant to makeup smudging even in the hot and humid climate of Thailand!

And there's this much!!! I don't think it'll run out anytime soon (lol).

This is the "BARE TO PERFECT TRANSLUCENT COMPACT POWDER" (approximately 1,500 yen). This is a pressed type powder that I have never seen in Japan.

The embossed roses on the surface are cute.

Perfect for carrying around for touching up your makeup!

This is "SUNLUTION Skin Whitening Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++" (just under 1,000 yen). It's a sunscreen, but I've never seen this one in Japan either.

There are three types in total, including the "Whitening" one that I purchased, as well as "Acne" and "Anti-Aging."

Don't you think sunscreens from countries with strong UV rays are good?

Moreover, it protects your skin not only from UV rays, but also from air pollution and blue light.

It has a smooth and stretchy texture.

I apply this after my morning skincare routine and it really does make my skin look more radiant!

It moisturizes and provides effective sun protection. I'm starting to want the other two types too...!

3. DENTISTE toothpaste

The third one is DENTISTE toothpaste.

I often see it in Japanese drugstores (around 1,000 yen per bottle?), but in Thailand I was able to buy it for about half that price. I've heard that you can get it even cheaper at local supermarkets, for around 300 yen!

The concept is "Brush your teeth before going to sleep so you can wake up and kiss as soon as you wake up," and the mint scent is strong, leaving your mouth feeling incredibly refreshed after brushing your teeth!

Personally, I like it because it makes my teeth feel smooth. I am such a big fan of DENTIS that I use it at home and even now that I have moved away.

Toothpaste is something we use every day, so it makes a great souvenir to give to others as well as for yourself.

4. POY-SIAN's Yardum

And the fourth and final one is "Ya Dom". In Thai, "Ya" means "medicine" and "Dom" means "to smell". In Japan, it is sold as "nose mint".

It is said to be "one of the essential items in the lives of Thai people," and many different brands and types are sold. I bought the standard brand "POY-SIAN" (a set of six for about 350 yen).

When you put it in your nose, you'll feel an indescribable refreshing sensation!

It can help you wake up, clear your stuffy nose, change your mood, and more. It's useful in many different situations.

It is also recommended as a souvenir to give to others.

These are the "souvenirs from Thailand" that announcer Moe Nakatani purchased at a drugstore!

In another article, we plan to have them introduce gourmet and outing information. Please look forward to that as well♪ (Composition/ARNE Editorial Department, Text/Nakatani Moe)
