A new attraction that has opened in Fukutsu! A stylish seaside diner (Miyajihama) where you can also enjoy swimming in the sea

5 minutes by car from Miyajidake Shrine, one of Fukuoka's most popular tourist attractions.

A new and exciting facility is opening at Miyajihama Beach, famous for its spectacular "Mirror Sea" view where the wet sand and tide pools reflect the sky!

This time we would like to introduce "DILLY DALLY", which will open on July 22, 2023.

The stylish building, designed by axonometric, a firm led by Fukuoka-based architect Satoshi Sasaki, is sure to catch your eye.

"We want you to be surrounded by nature, without rushing, without being hasty, and without doing anything. We want you to have an open mind and enjoy a relaxing time." It was with this thought in mind that the name "DILLY DALLY" (= to dawdle, to waste time) was chosen.

A comfortable space with the beautiful sea stretching out before your eyes...in this fantastic environment, you can enjoy casual food that is perfect for the seaside.

The menu offers hearty, punchy dishes based on the concept of "things you'd want to eat heartily at the seaside."

The impressive signature dish is the "Jerk Chicken Plate" (1,650 yen),

The "Chicken Cutlet Plate" (1,650 yen) is irresistible with its melted cheese,

And the "Hamburger" (1,650 yen),

"Open Hot Dog" (1,430 yen) and more. It seems like it will go down a treat with alcohol.

There is also a "Kids Plate" (990 yen) for children.

Both are available for take-out, which will come in handy even if you're visiting mainly for swimming.

Another highlight is that you can enjoy sweets from the popular cafe "alu" located in Taihaku-cho, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City.

In addition to the highly acclaimed [Pudding] with its traditional firm texture, the shop also offers the heavy and satisfying [Baked Cheesecake] and the [Chocolate Terrine] which boasts a smooth texture.

It also has a great appeal as a cafe, with a wide selection of drinks available, including authentic coffee brewed by a barista and individually prepared [Matcha Latte].

"Komame Yoshiko's Shaved Ice" created by a popular shaved ice store & "SSC - SEA SIDE CLUB" with a selection of ocean goods

There are two other shops on the DILLY DALLY premises.

The first one is "Komame Yoshiko's Shaved Ice." This is a shaved ice shop whose menu is supervised by the extremely popular "Kamame Yoshiko's Shaved Ice" in Gofukumachi, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City.

You can enjoy "Pudding Shaved Ice," which is based on a refreshingly sweet pudding, as "a simple and special shaved ice that's perfect to eat by the sea."

In addition to the "Strawberry Pudding" (1,200 yen) shown in the photo above, the lineup includes "Pudding" (1,000 yen), "Matcha Pudding" (1,200 yen), and "Lemon Pudding" (1,200 yen). Another attractive feature is that you can add fresh cream topping for an additional 100 yen.

The second shop is "SSC - SEA SIDE CLUB".

Based on the concept of "making time spent at the beach more enjoyable," the store offers swimwear and towels that can be used in the ocean right in front of you, as well as select brand fragrances and various miscellaneous goods.

You can just turn up empty-handed and enjoy swimming in the sea!

There will also be original "DILLY DALLY" goods available that can only be purchased here.

Great for playing in the sea! Umbrellas and chairs available for rental

At DILLY DALLY, you can rent a parasol chair (for two people, 2,200 yen for three hours). The staff will set it up for you, so you don't have to do any preparation. No reservation is necessary, and you can rent it on the day.

There are also coin showers (hot water) and coin lockers available for rental, so it's also convenient to use as a "beach house."
