Excellent access to Tenjin and Hakata! Two hotels where you can stay as you like will open simultaneously on October 1st

~You'll love Fukuoka even more~
We send out information from Fukuoka every day that will make you say,"Yeah, that's right!"

Hello. This is Chihilog, a casual Instagram post about Fukuoka gourmet food.

This time, we will introduce Cross Life Hakata Tenjin and Cross Life Hakata Yanagibashi, which opened simultaneously on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

Both hotels have excellent access to Hakata and Tenjin! We recommend them to people from outside the prefecture, and of course they are great for a relaxing weekend stay. They also have a community space and cafe that can be used by anyone, even non-guests.

There is a "community space" that can be used by non-guests too! "Cross Life Hakata Yanagibashi" (Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City) incorporates a design unique to Yanagibashi

The first place we would like to introduce is Cross Life Hakata Yanagibashi, located next to Yanagibashi Rengo Market, the kitchen of Hakata.

If you look closely at the building from the outside, you'll notice that the curtains you see through the windows are different colors. This is apparently based on Hakata-ori textiles, which are designated as a national traditional craft.

Entrance/Lobby

The entrance design incorporates the characteristics of the Yanagibashi area, where traditional Japanese atmosphere coexists with new contemporary culture.

The ceiling fixture is based on Okawa Kumiko, a craft that boasts a history of approximately 300 years.

In the lobby, you are greeted by a piece of "boat art" created by Fukuoka sculptor Akiko Inaba, with the theme of "bonds and ties."

This is a participatory art piece based on the motif of the connection between the Haruyoshi area and Yanagibashi Rengo Market. Guests are given a string to tie when they check in, and the shape gradually takes shape.

In addition, a connect board has been installed in the lobby as a communication tool to connect with the local community.

Please look for useful information such as tourist information and recommended spots in the vicinity.

Incidentally, the signs indicating each floor and room number are made from Oishiwara ware, a traditional Fukuoka craft.

Each floor is home to a different Koishiwara ware potter, with a total of 13 potters producing works. The designs and tastes are all completely different, so it's fun to compare the works on each floor.
