Check out the finest eat-in sweets! Also great as a gift: Chocolate terrine specialty store (Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)
Hello. This is Chihi Log, a casual website that provides information about Fukuoka, with a focus on gourmet food.
This time, we will introduce a chocolate terrine specialty store in the Hirao area. We finally got to visit this popular store that also opens at pop-up events!
A rare chocolate terrine specialty store! A great eat-in option too: "Promenade Bijoux" (Hirao, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)
Located about a six-minute walk from Nishitetsu Hirao Station, Promenade Bijoux is a specialty shop where you can enjoy authentic chocolate terrine.

Inside the store there is a showcase displaying sweets and counter seating where you can eat in.

At the counter seats, you can spend some relaxing time watching the people and cars going by.

The display case is lined with chocolate terrines. There are also seasonal menu items!
I visited in the morning, and it was so popular that the products in the display case disappeared in a flash. I remember having eaten it once before and finding it delicious, so I had been wanting to visit the main store for a long time!

A gluten-free chocolate terrine that does not contain wheat flour.
On the day I visited, there were six varieties available, including cream cheese-based "White Coffee Cheese" (460 yen) and "Cheese" (460 yen), chocolate-based "Kotemari (Yame Matcha)" (420 yen), "Yu Chocolat" (420 yen), "Limited Time Only Chestnut" (490 yen, to be sold until mid-March), and "Pistachio" (500 yen). Some varieties were sold as mini terrines cut into single servings, as well as single pieces.

This is sold individually. It comes with a gift box and bag, so it makes a great gift.

All the chocolate terrines were amazingly delicious. I was moved!
Enjoy the exquisite sweets from this chocolate terrine specialty shop in an eat-in setting!
This time, I enjoyed two eat-in sweets that I had seen on social media and was interested in (eat-in times: 11:00-17:30, last order: 17:00).
Upside-down parfait
The "Upside-Down Parfait" (1,700 yen) changes depending on the season, and currently features strawberries as the main ingredient.

When I lifted the glass...
From inside, you'll find Promenade Bijoux's signature chocolate terrine, strawberries, cookies, meringue cookies, sliced almonds, fresh cream, and more. You can choose between cheese and pistachio flavors for the chocolate terrine.

The fluffy, melting cream has just the right amount of sweetness and a slightly milky taste. I thoroughly enjoyed the elegant flavor and changing texture!

Set of 2 sweets
The "2-piece Sweets Set" (1,700 yen) allows you to choose one sweet from the display case and one chocolate terrine of your choice. It also comes with cookies and other items (contents change depending on the season).

The "sweets you can choose from the showcase" on this day were the limited-edition "Chocolate Basque Cheesecake" (600 yen), "Double Cheesecake" (540 yen), and "Original Pudding" (320 yen).
I chose the "Chocolate Basque Cheesecake" and it was a great choice...!

Image: CHIHIRO
The Basque cheesecake melts in your mouth and is made with mild cream cheese, bringing out the luxurious flavor of the chocolate.
The base, made of cocoa cookies, adds an accent to the texture. The flavor is well-balanced and the cocoa cookies are not overpowering. It's a must-try for chocolate lovers. It will be available until early March.

For the chocolate terrine, I chose "Kotemari (Yame Matcha)." It's a surprisingly rich flavor, made with a white chocolate base and plenty of Yame Matcha.
The deliciousness was further enhanced by the light and sweet fresh cream.

Check out the popular drink menu
For drinks, I ordered the most popular "Matcha Latte" (650 yen) and "Americano" (500 yen).
The "Matcha Latte" uses the same Yame matcha as the chocolate terrine, with a rich flavor and subtle sweetness that is irresistible.
The Americano is made with carefully selected beans and is authentic and hearty.
